May 28, 1999 - Harvest® Technologies' Hemobiologics Division announced FDA clearance to market the company's SmartPReP™ Centrifuge System in the US. The SmartPReP is designed to be used in the clinical laboratory or intraoperatively at point-of-care for the safe and rapid preparation of platelet poor plasma (PPP) and platelet concentrate (PC) from a small sample of blood. Both the PPP and PC can be used for diagnostic tests.
