8/20/98 - Harvest Technologies' announced FDA concurrence to market the company's QuickDraw™ acute normovolemic hemodilution system in the US. The QuickDraw provides the foundation of Harvest's Bloodless Surgery Station. The QuickDraw reduces normal blood collection times from 15-30 minutes to approximately 3 minutes for each 500 mL unit of fresh, whole blood. The same disposable setup can then be used proactively intraoperatively collect shed blood for free.
